Jazzy warm-up

Welcome to our jazzy ‘zumba’ (jazzumba?) class! What are we gonna do there? Most of the time, we just dance to jazz music: the music doesn’t stop, you dance along with Katya, you can copy-paste the moves, or you can improvise on the fly. We start with the easiest moves, and incorporate solo jazz moves (and maybe even some easy combos from the famous routines) and rhythms into our dancing, slowly expanding our repertoire. The music will be jazz, but diverse – Latin jazz, electroswing, blues, New Orleans, classic swing, bebop… Every class is a new playlist, every class is different

We also include :

• a bit of exercises to take care of our feet, back and core
• balance and stretching
• body awareness techniques
• flexibility and coordination

For whom:

• anybody who is not ready to think too much about the combination of moves or improvisation, but would like to experience some solo jazz dance
• who are ready to go with the flow and ‘drill until you fell’
• who wants to have a bit of a dance workout
• any level of dance experience is welcome
