Third Stops routine

‘Stop routines’ emerged as part of the performance and competition culture among dancers in the Savoy Ballroom in the 30s/40s—especially by the legendary group Whitey’s Lindy Hoppers. These dancers often performed choreographed routines that included dramatic freezes or “stops” in time with the music, usually to emphasise sharp musical breaks, changes in rhythm, or to highlight showy moves.
The 1st and 2nd stops originate directly from that era, while the 3rd one was created recently, but in the same spirit, under the watchful eyes of Barbara Billups, one of the last remaining dancers who performed in the Savoy Ballroom.

Each workshop can be followed separately or you can follow all of them, because each routine consists of a series of classic Jazz moves. At least intermediate or higher in both Lindy Hop and Charleston is required.
