This course is for absolute beginners. You will learn basic rhythms and moves/footwork of the dance, get acquainted with the classic jazz standards we dance to, and get ready for your first socials. In the class, we rotate (changing partners after dancing with one for 3-10 minutes) to provide a better learning experience, but if you prefer to stick with your partner, we allow it in this course.
The 8-week summer intensive course will run from July 9 through August 27 with a week of holiday in the middle.
