The “Mama’s Stew” is a classic solo jazz dance routine in the swing and lindy hop communities, not a daily life schedule or a recipe. It was originally used as a warm-up by Whitey’s Lindy Hoppers and later adopted and performed by Louise “Mama Lu” Parks and her dance company, the Mama Lu Parks Dancers.
It is a fast but not difficult routine; if we have a bit of solo jazz experience, you can join.
We plan to dance this routine more often at our socials and perform on September 5. You can join the performance if you already know the routine and don’t need to take the workshop. You are welcome to come after 21.15 to practice (free).
